Insieme si puo’… (ISP) in Africa is an international non-governmental, non-partisan, and apolitical organisation registered in Italy, carrying out humanitarian activities in a number of countries including Uganda, Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Somalia.
ISP in Africa has its Regional Office in Uganda, where it has been operating for more than thirty years. The association, legally registered as ONLUS (not for profit organization for social purposes) in the regional register of Veneto on 9th august 2000, was founded in 1982 and has more than 2,000 members divided in 90 groups that are based in different regions of Italy.
ISP’s aim is to improve the quality of life of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Uganda through enhancing their capacity to identify and address their social, health, economic, cultural and development needs.
Our interventions are developed through four main operating strategies:
Environmental protection that has the objective to promote positive practices that would enable the protection of the natural environment and humans.
Capacity building for the local organizations through funding of local development initiatives, training in different skills, and providing necessary materials and tools for economic empowerment.
Social business by creating income-generating activities to support the organization and its projects.
Distance support to provide children and disadvantaged people the tools to improve their lives.
