Sezibwa Demonstration Farm is a local CBO which works in the parish of Wankooba, in the District of Mukono. It was founded by a group of community members with the aim of introducing new and improved techniques in agriculture, which would subsequently improve their household income and their lives. Today Sezibwa Demonstration Farm serves more than three parishes in Ofua Nakisunga.
This farm is a hive for many programs ranging from; agro forestry, agricultural techniques that improve food production, rearing of goats, pigs, chickens and fish. The local CBO has about 23 acres of farmland used by its members throughout the year.
Sezibwa demonstration farm, together with its partners ISP in Africa and with the support of Costa Family Foundation, will continue to train more farmers in modern agriculture methods for the fourth consecutive year, increasing its activities and its impact on the community.

The project aims at supporting Sezibwa Demonstration Farm improve agricultural skills of over 150 households of small scale farmers to meet their food requirements and add value to their produce, and production sustainably through the construction of a proper food storage facility.

This project fits, by type of approach and characteristics, in the area of Social Business.

The intervention guarantees the coveted “social“ of the operation, and the “non-profit” management of the project, linking the profit to the organization sustainability, which over time will be able to continue to generate social benefits at lower risk.
